Wednesday Night Adult Discipleship
Small Group Discipleship on Wednesday Nights
Our small group discipleship ministry at HBC involves an exchange. It’s an exchange of ideas, thoughts, struggles, and goals between people like you and me. But it’s more! In those small groups we have the opportunity to wrestle with Scripture in light of real life as we see it. It’s means an exchange of what comes natural for what is Godly. Paul expressed this exchange in Romans 12:1-2 when he described what happens when we allow God to mold us to the image of Jesus. So here’s your invitation… come be a part of “The Exchange.”

Finding I am
Women's Bible Study - Begins January 3 - at 6:15 pm - Facilitated by Suzanne Hardison in Room 210
WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY: What is the deep cry of your heart? That ache in your soul that keeps you up at night? The prayer you keep repeating? Jesus not only cares about this deep, spiritual wrestling, but He also wants to step in and see you through it. Lysa TerKeurst will explore the seven I AM statements of Jesus found in the Gospel of John. Through this interactive, in-depth study, you will learn to: trade feelings of emptiness and depletion for a more personal fulfillment from knowing who Jesus is; stop living like a slave to your circumstances by training your heart to embrace the life-giving freedom God wants for you; and gain a better understanding of how Jesus' words 2,000 years ago are so very applicable to the answers we are searching for today.
Men's Study - Begins January 3 - at 6:15 pm - Facilitated by Joe Bufford & Webb Ross - House #1
MEN’S BIBLE STUDY: As our culture decays around us and the armies of evil win one battle after another, a giant sleeps. That sleeping giant is the men of God’s church. Thankfully though, the time is coming to an end for the enemy to run roughshod, virtually unopposed in inflicting pain in our churches and communities. The Sleeping Giant men’s strategy is a clarion call to action. This study will encourage men to move from the audience to the army, from affiliated to activated, and from lackadaisical to on-fire for God.
For Women Only
Ongoing Sudy facilitaed by Brenda Ross in House #1 - at 6:15 pm
The only Book that is needed for this class is the Bible. If you have a desire to fall in love with the Word, then this class is for you. Each week the Word of God will be presented in a way that is easy to understand and yet challenging. Scripture is studied and then applied to real life situations.
Co-ed study begins January 3 - facilitated by Bro. Tony Lewis - in Room 205
CO-ED BIBLE STUDY: Most of us think we searched for and found our identity during our teenage or college years. But in reality, many of us are still trying to find it. When we don’t get the promotion at work, we spiral into an emotional wasteland. When our pants fit a little more snugly than they used to, we freak out. When someone questions whether the talent we’re reputed to be good at is truly good, we’re shaken to our core. The Book of Ephesians shares an abundance of wisdom that will reveal where our identity should be anchored. When we anchor our identity in Christ, the shifting winds of change that inevitably happen in life won’t sink our ship.

Prayer is an essential part of the Christian life. It is the connection we are privileged to have through Jesus Christ. Paul reminds us to “pray without ceasing.”
